Nigerian chef Hilda Bassey Effiong popularly known as Hilda Buci recently broke the Guinness World Record for longest cooking hours.
She broke the record which was previously held by Indian chef, Lata Tondon on Monday morning, May 15 at 7:45 AM.
Tondon had made meals for 87 hours, 45 minutes and 00 seconds.
Hilda was not allowed to take coffee, stimulants, or any energy drink to artificially boost her energy and bodily strength while cooking.
She cooked round the clock, with no sleep morning, afternoon, evening, and night, and in some instances, would rest for 30 minutes.
During her breaks, the chef’s team checked her blood pressure, temperature, cooled her off, and gave her foot rubs.
In videos that have circulated online, while on breaks, Baci was seen laying down in a designated van and quickly taken back to resume her cooking.
