Kenyan YouTubers Jules, Lornzie, Ivy, and Shikie on Monday, May 8, 2023 announced that they will be ending their popular YouTube channel ‘Over 25’ after seven years of creating content together.
The four content creators shared the news with their 157,000 subscribers in a video titled, Final Curtain Call.
They started ‘Over 25’ as a way to share their experiences and connect with other women over the age of 25.
Over the years, the channel grew to become a community of supportive and empowering women from all over the world.
In the video, they spoke about their experiences creating content and connecting with their audience, and shared how much they enjoyed creating content that was relatable, empowering, and entertaining for their viewers.
The group cited significant life changes such as marriages, babies, career changes, break-ups, make-ups, graduations and birthdays as reasons for the split.
“Almost to the day, this video marks 7 years of us: Jules, Lornzie, Ivy, and Shikie, creating content on this channel,” they said in a joint statement.
Adding;
“Using our life experiences as friends, sisters, working women, and mothers, we poured our hearts and souls into ‘Over 25′ where we connected, grew, and celebrated with our audience – boy did we love it!”
Despite the split, Jules, Lornzie, Ivy and Shikie plan to remain friends and continue to support each other in their future endeavors.

Julia Gaitho or Jules is a content creator and currently working on her podcast dubbed, So This Is Love.
She encompassing a Master of Arts from the University of Greenwich, London in Strategic Marketing Communication and a Bsc from USIU Kenya in International Business Administration.

2. Michelle Wanjiku – Shikie
Shikie, also known as Michelle Wanjiku is a bloger, YouTuber and a content creator. She is a mother to two beautiful baby girls and a wife to fitness trainer Shiv Simani.
In 2022, the couple sparked mixed reactions after throwing a birthday party for their dog who was turning 2 years old at the time.
Interestingly, Mamba was given a big piece of meat to feast on in the place of a cake and no candles were blown obviously.
3. Lorna Gatabaki – Lornzie
Lornzie, otherwise known as Lorna Gatabaki is a plus size fashion enthusiast, business owner and a reputable content creator.
The mother of one rose to fame after joining Jules, Shikie, and Just Ivy, to start their channel Over 25 in May 2016.
Business-wise, she runs Pure Bixom, an exclusive plus-size clothing line designed to celebrate the curvier women.
4. Ivy Mugo – Just Ivy
Ivy Mugo, aka Just Ivy is an award-winning digital content creator. She is also a reputable brand influencer.
According to Nation, she quit formal employment on October 23, 2020 after having seen the potential in their Over25 vlog.
In 2020, Ivy landed a deal with Samsung when she felt that laundry was taking up a lot of her nanny’s time.
She inboxed five companies to ask for a washing machine in exchange for amplification on social media. While others even gave an outright ‘no’, Samsung asked for a proposal.
