Jalayah Eason was a 6-year-old girl from the United States of America who was found unconscious in her Bronx apartment.
She was reportedly found unconscious with bruises on her wrists and torso.
Jalayah’s mother, Lynija Eason, called 911 and told officers she found her daughter cold and not breathing inside a closet in their 12th-floor apartment at NYCHA’s Forest Houses located on East 165th Street.
She claimed she tried to administer CPR, but her child would not wake up.
EMS arrived 15 minutes later after the call, and Jalayah was taken to the hospital and was pronounced dead.
Jalayah Eason’s father
At the time of publishing this article, the identity of Jalayah’s father was a mystery.
It’s unclear whether he is alive, and whether he fathered Jalayah’s other siblings.
Notably, he is to talk to the media or the police following the 6-year-old American girl’s death.
According to Eason’s statements to the police, and as reported by Daily News, it’s unlikely that the child’s father was involved in her life.
“I take care of my kids by myself. No other adults live in my apartment with me and my kids.”

Jalayah was tragically discovered unconscious and covered in bruises in a Bronx apartment.
The incident resulted in her untimely death, prompting the police to question her mother, Lynija Easin, as a person of interest.
The distressing situation unfolded when Jalayah’s mother, contacted 911 around 4 in the morning.
According to Lynija, she found her daughter unresponsive and cold inside a closet in their 12th-floor apartment.
Despite her efforts to administer CPR, Jalayah did not regain consciousness.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrived on the scene approximately 15 minutes later and swiftly transported the young girl to Lincoln Hospital.
All attempts to save her life were in vain.
