Ian Lajoie is an 18-year-old young man who died in an accident on Monday, June 12, 2023, in Dayton, Maine.
According to the police, the young man lost his life after his motorcycle hit a car at the intersection of Rte. 5 and River Road around 8 PM.
Lajoie was riding in the left lane when he clipped the front driver’s side of the car as it was turning, WGME reported.
The young man sustained serious injuries, and was pronounced dead at the scene of the grisly road accident.
His passing was reported by major news publications including News Center Maine, WMTW, Bangor Daily News and SNBC13.

Lajoie died in a horrific motorbike accident in Dayton, Maine.
Maine State Police and the Goodwin Mills Fire Department responded to the crash, according to the police.
He was riding his motorcycle on the left at Route 5 and River Road intersection when he clipped the front driver’s side of the car and sustained critical injuries.
He died at the scene of the accident.
The identity of the driver of the car will not be released, state police spokesperson Shannon Moss said.
In addition to the driver, the sedan had two passengers at the time of the crash. All three occupants of the car were evaluated at the scene and had no injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by Maine State Police.
