Eden Palmer, a 54-year-old woman from San Francisco, was killed in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 280 in Woodside on April 22, 2023.
She was driving her 14-year-old son to a soccer game when a Ford sedan driven by Constellatia Martin collided with her BMW SUV.
Martin was driving northbound in the southbound lanes of the freeway.
Palmer was pronounced dead at the scene, while her son suffered major injuries and was taken to Stanford Medical Center for treatment.
Martin was detained at the scene and arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and other potential charges.
After the crash, Martin reportedly stripped her clothes off and attempted to get into surrounding cars.
She suffered a fractured wrist and was also taken to Stanford with “major” injuries.
Officials are waiting for her toxicology reports to come in.
