John Fury is an Irish boxing cornerman and former professional boxer and bare-knuckle fighter.
He is best known for being the father of two-time heavyweight boxing world champion Tyson Fury, as well as reality television personality and professional boxer Tommy Fury.
He is also the uncle of heavyweight boxer Hughie Fury.
Fury has been involved in many high-profile situations while supporting his son Tyson, and is known for being outspoken and unafraid to speak his mind about the sport of boxing.
He had a professional boxing career from 1985 to 1995, during which he had 13 professional gloved boxing bouts overall.
Prior to that, he reportedly had a lot of bare-knuckle experience and claims he carried on a tradition that saw a rich lineage of bare-knuckle boxers.

Fury’s professional boxing career spanned eight years, beginning in April 1987 and ending in June 1995.
In total, he was involved in 13 bouts.
Fury fought the future world champion Henry Akinwade, where he was brutally stopped in 1991 before the Brit went on to international success:
He failed to ever reach world level in his boxing career and he retired after suffering consecutive knockout losses to former WBO champion Henry Akinwade and Steve Garber.
Fury was jailed in 2011 and spent four years behind bars after being convicted of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, after he gouged out a man’s eye during a fight at a car auction.
