James Blunt is an English singer, songwriter and musician.
He was born James Hillier Blount on February 22, 1974.
Before his music career, Blunt served as a reconnaissance officer in the Life Guards regiment of the British Army and served under NATO during the 1999 Kosovo War.
He rose to fame in 2004 with the release of his debut album, Back to Bedlam, which included the hit singles, You’re Beautiful and Goodbye My Lover.
Blunt has released several albums since then, including his most recent album, Who We Used To Be, in 2021.
Who is James Blunt’s wife?
Blunt is married to Sofia Wellesley, a British socialite and legal consultant with aristocratic roots.
They were engaged in December 2013 and married in a private ceremony in London on September 5, 2014, followed by a lavish celebration in Majorca a few weeks later.
Blunt and Sofia have two sons together, but have not publicly revealed their names.
The godfather of their eldest son is fellow singer Ed Sheeran, and the godmother was the late Carrie Fisher, a close friend of James.
Blunt has described Sofia as a “strong person” who is able to deal with the challenges of being married to someone in the music industry.

Who is an aristocrat?
An aristocrat is a member of the aristocracy, which is a social class that typically holds hereditary titles and privileges.
Aristocrats are often associated with wealth, power, and influence, and historically they have played important roles in politics, culture and society.
In some countries, such as the United Kingdom, aristocrats are part of the formal system of government, with seats in the House of Lords.
However, in many other countries, the role of aristocrats has diminished over time, and they may now be primarily associated with cultural traditions and social events.
James Blunt career
Blunt began taking piano and violin lessons as a child but became more interested in playing the electric guitar at 14 when he was introduced to it.
After graduating, he enrolled at the University of Bristol to study aerospace manufacturing engineering and sociology.
However, he left the British Army in 2002 so that he could pursue his musical career.
He started using the stage name, James Blunt, in part to make it easier for others to spell; Blount is pronounced the same way and remains his legal last name.
Blunt rose to fame in 2004 with the release of his debut album Back to Bedlam, achieving worldwide fame with the singles, You’re Beautiful and Goodbye My Lover.
His repertoire is a mix of pop, rock, and acoustic-tinged soft rock.
He has released several albums, including Back to Bedlam (2004), All The Lost Souls (2007), Some Kind of Trouble (2010), Moon Landing (2013) and The Stars Beneath My Feet (2021).
Blunt has won several awards for his work in music, including two BRIT Awards and two Ivor Novello Awards, and was nominated for five Grammy Awards in 2006.
He has also appeared in films, TV shows and documentaries.
