Travis Kelce is a professional American football player who currently plays as a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs in the National Football League (NFL).

He was born on October 5, 1989, in Westlake, Ohio, and attended the University of Cincinnati, where he played college football for the Cincinnati Bearcats.

Kelce was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft, and he has since become one of the most dominant tight ends in the league.

He is known for his exceptional athleticism, route-running ability, and reliable hands, which have made him a favorite target of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Throughout his career, Kelce has earned numerous accolades, including six Pro Bowl selections, four First-Team All-Pro honors and two NFL receiving yards titles.

He was also a key player in the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LIV victory in 2020, where he recorded six receptions for 43 yards and a touchdown.

Off the field, Kelce is known for his philanthropic work, particularly through his “87 and Running” foundation, which aims to improve the lives of underserved children in Kansas City and his hometown of Cleveland.

Travis Kelce contract

Kelce signed a contract extension with the Chiefs in August 2020, which made him the highest-paid tight end in NFL history at the time.

The contract extension is for four years and is worth $57.25 million, with $28 million guaranteed.

This means that Kelce will earn an average of $14.3 million per year over the course of the contract.

Kelce’s previous contract was set to expire after the 2021 season, but the extension ensures that he will remain with the Chiefs through the 2025 season.

The extension also includes a signing bonus of $15 million, which Kelce received immediately upon signing the contract.

Kelce’s contract extension is a testament to his exceptional talent and value to the Chiefs.

He has been a key player for the team since he was drafted in 2013, and has been named to the Pro Bowl six times and the All-Pro team five times.

In 2020, Kelce set the NFL record for most receiving yards by a tight end in a single season with 1,416 yards.

Travis Kelce salary

Kelce is widely regarded as one of the best tight ends in the league and has been named to the Pro Bowl six times and the First-Team All-Pro three times.

As of September 2021, Kelce signed a four-year contract extension with the Kansas City Chiefs worth $57.25 million, with $28 million guaranteed.

This means that his average annual salary is $14.3 million, making him one of the highest-paid tight ends in the NFL.

Kelce’s contract extension also includes a signing bonus of $14.3 million and incentives that could earn him an additional $1 million per year.

His base salary for the 2021 season is $7.75 million, with a cap hit of $11.2 million.

It’s worth noting that Kelce’s salary may have changed since September 2021 due to renegotiations or other factors.

However, as of that time, he was one of the highest-paid tight ends in the league and a valuable asset to the Kansas City Chiefs.
