MohBad was a Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter
He was born Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba on June 6, 1996, in Lagos State, Nigeria, and passed away in September 2023.
MohBad grew up in Lagos and started his music career in 2016, but he gained prominence in the Nigerian music industry in 2019 after he was discovered by Naira Marley, a popular Nigerian musician.
His music style is a blend of hip-hop and afrobeat, and he is known for his unique voice, catchy lyrics, and energetic performances.
MohBad has released several hit songs, including Ko Por Ke, Ponmo Sweet, Marlians Anthem and Oja among others.

MohBad is a private person and has not revealed much about his personal life.
It is only known that he was married and had a daughter.
MohBad controversies
In February 2022, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) arrested MohBad, Zinoleesky and four other people following their possession of illegal substances.
The rapper and his clique were arrested with substances such as MDMA and cannabis at their home in Lekki, Lagos.
Some viral videos on social media showed NDLEA operatives breaking into the musicians’ home in the Lekki district of Lagos State in the early hours of Thursday morning.
According to witnesses, the officials carried out the arrest without any search warrants and mistreated the Marlian singers.
The NDLEA officers were seen hitting the musician with clubs and shooting into the air, forcing them into waiting trucks.
Later in October, MohBad announced his departure from Marlian Records.
On 5 October 2022, he accused singer Naira Marley of domestic violence and stated that his former boss ordered people to beat him up.
This was after he confronted Marley about his decision to employ a different manager to handle his music and business affairs.
MohBad cause of death
MohBad died on Tuesday, September 12 at the age of 27.
As of now, the exact cause of Mohbad’s death remains unknown, although Wikipedia reported that he died from an ear infection.
A source from the singer’s team stated that he took a trip to the hospital for treatment, after which he was administered an injection.
However, according to them, MohBad passed out shortly after the injection and did not wake up.
MohBad career
MohBad began his music career in 2019 when he released his first single, Imole.
He gained popularity in the Nigerian music industry after he was featured on Naira Marley’s hit song, Koma Jensun, in 2020.
In the same year, he signed a record deal with Marlian Music, a record label owned by Naira Marley.
He has released several hit songs, including Overhype, Ponmo Sweet and Feel Good.
MohBad has also collaborated with other popular Nigerian artists such as Davido, Olamide and Lil Kesh.
In January 2023, MohBad revealed in an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo that he almost committed suicide during his ordeal with his former record label, Bella Shmurda.
He accused the label of not paying him and other artists signed to the label.
