They encountered a 2021 Volvo tractor-trailer that had positioned itself across all four lanes of the road for an early morning delivery to a nearby business.
In a desperate attempt to avoid the looming obstacle, their vehicle swerved but ultimately collided with the side of the tractor-trailer, just behind one of its rear wheels.
The impact sent the vehicle underneath the trailer, coming to a halt approximately 30 to 40 feet past the truck.
The scene that unfolded was one of devastation, with the top of the Kia Stinger sheared off.
