Lauren Boebert is a Republican politician, businesswoman, and gun rights activist serving as the U.S. representative for Colorado’s 3rd congressional district.
She was born on December 19, 1986, in Altamonte Springs, Florida and is currently serving her second term in Congress.
Boebert is known for her conservative views and opposition to green energy, COVID-19 mask and vaccine mandates, abortion, sex education, gender affirmation surgery for minors and same-sex marriage.
She advocates for an isolationist foreign policy but supports closer ties with Israel for religious reasons.
Boebert is a self-described born-again Christian and has argued for greater church power and influence in government decision-making.

Her political career began in 2020 when she ran for Congress and won the election.
Before that, she was a businesswoman who owned a restaurant in Rifle, Colorado.
Boebert’s campaign focused on gun rights and opposition to government overreach.
She gained national attention for her support of the QAnon conspiracy theory and her refusal to comply with metal detectors installed at the U.S. Capitol after the January 6th insurrection.
Boebert’s opponent in the 2022 election, Democrat Adam Frisch, lost to her by only 546 votes, making it the closest House race in the country.
Frisch plans to run against Boebert again in 2024.

Boebert’s son Tyler is a teenage father who fathered a baby boy with his girlfriend.
The politician gave birth to her son when she was a teenager herself.
Tyler’s girlfriend gave birth to their baby boy in April 2023; Boebert announced Tyler’s pregnancy in March 2023.
Boebert has four sons, and Tyler is the oldest.
In May 2023, Tyler called 911 and reported that his father, Jayson Boebert, was “throwing” him around the house.
Boebert has been divorced from Jayson since June 2023.
Boebert has admitted that she had her third son because birth control was too expensive, according to Business Insider.
