Lachlan Murdoch is an Australian-American businessman and media executive.
He was born on September 8, 1971, in London, England, and is the eldest son of media mogul Rupert Murdoch.
Lachlan has been involved in the media industry for many years, having worked for his father’s company, News Corp, in various roles.
He served as the Deputy Chief Operating Officer of News Corp from 2014 to 2015 and was the Executive Chairman of 21st Century Fox from 2015 to 2019.
In 2019, he became the CEO of Fox Corporation, which was formed after the sale of 21st Century Fox to Disney.

Lachlan Murdoch career
Lachlan began his career in media in 1994, when he joined News Corporation, the media conglomerate founded by his father, Rupert Murdoch.
He worked in various roles at News Corp, including as the Deputy Chief Operating Officer and Chairman of News Corp Europe and Asia.
In 2005, Lachlan left News Corp to start his own media investment company, Illyria Pty Ltd. He also served as the Chairman of Ten Network Holdings, an Australian television network, from 2010 to 2012.
In 2014, he returned to the family business when he was appointed Co-Chairman of 21st Century Fox, the media company that was formed after News Corp split into two separate companies.
Lachlan later became the Executive Chairman of 21st Century Fox in 2015.
After the sale of 21st Century Fox to Disney in 2019, he became the CEO and Executive Chairman of Fox Corporation, which was formed from the remaining assets of 21st Century Fox.
In this role, Lachlan oversees the operations of Fox News, Fox Sports, and other media properties.
