He was a standout basketball player in high school and went on to play college basketball at Pepperdine University in California.
After college, Gondrezick was selected by the Phoenix Suns in the third round of the 1986 NBA Draft.
Gondrezick played for the Suns during the 1986-87 season, appearing in 31 games and averaging 2.9 points per game.
He also played for the San Antonio Spurs during the 1987-88 season, appearing in 11 games and averaging 2.5 points per game.
Gondrezick’s professional career also included stints in other professional leagues, including the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) and the World Basketball League (WBL).
He played for the Quad City Thunder in the CBA during the 1988-89 season, averaging 17.4 points per game.
Gondrezick also played for the Youngstown Pride in the WBL during the 1989-90 season, averaging 14.9 points per game.
