Chaim Bloom is an American sports executive who was most recently the Chief Baseball Officer for the Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB).
He was responsible for all baseball operations matters for the team.
Bloom was born on February 27, 1983, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is Jewish and keeps kosher.
He attended Jewish day schools and graduated from Yale College in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in Latin Classics.
Bloom previously worked for the Tampa Bay Rays, most recently as Senior Vice President of Baseball Operations.

He began his career as an intern for the Tampa Bay Rays in February 2005 and was later hired full-time to work in Minor League Operations in October 2005.
