Yulimar Rojas Rodríguez, also known as Yolimar Rojas, is a Venezuelan athlete who is widely recognized as one of the greatest triple jumpers in the world.

She holds the world record for women’s triple jump, with a distance of 15.74 meters (51 ft 7+1⁄2 in), per Wikipedia.

Additionally, Rojas is the current Olympic champion in the triple jump event.

She has won the World Championships in triple jump three times, in 2017 (London), 2019 (Doha) and 2022 (Eugene).

Rojas has also been crowned the World Indoor Champion in triple jump three times, in 2016 (Portland), 2018 (Birmingham) and 2022 (Belgrade).

The athlete was born on October 21, 1995, in Caracas, Venezuela.

She was raised in a humble background in the Altavista area of Pozuelos, Anzoátegui where her family moved so that her stepfather could find work in the oil industry.

Rojas is one of six siblings and has credited her upbringing in a large, poor family for giving her the drive to overcome adversities and succeed in her career.

She has received numerous accolades for her achievements including being named the LGBTQ Female Athlete of the Year by Outsports in 2021.

Rojas continues to dominate the world of triple jump, consistently achieving remarkable distances and breaking records.

Her dedication, talent and perseverance have made her a role model for aspiring athletes, not just in Venezuela but around the world.

Rojas is in a relationship with Rusmely Rojas, who affectionately refers to her as her partner.

Despite not being legally married due to their country’s laws, they are in a committed relationship, according to World Cup Updates.

Rojas is openly lesbian and is an LGBT+ activist in her home country.

The athlete often dyes her cropped hair in bright colors, and she chose pale pink for the 2020 Olympics, saying it reflected hope and strength.

Rojas is a Venezuelan athlete who has achieved great success in the world of sports.

She was born in Caracas and raised in a poor family in a shack in the Altavista area of Pozuelos, Anzoátegui.

She is a four-time triple jump world champion and the current Olympic champion, and has broken the world record for women’s triple jump, with a distance of 15.74 meters.

Rojas was the first Venezuelan to be named Female Athlete of the Year by World Athletics.

She has also been named the LGBTQ Female Athlete of the Year by Outsports and Female Most Valuable Performer in Athletics by Track & Field News.

Rojas is coached by the iconic Cuban athlete Iván Pedroso, with whom she trains in Spain; she  is signed for the Barcelona team (athletics).

She is in a relationship with Rusmely Rojas, who affectionately refers to her as her partner.

Rojas has promised her mother that she would buy her a small house with walls, and strove to be able to make good on that promise.

She is the main candidate for a gold medal at the next Olympic Games.
