Vivek Ramaswamy is an American entrepreneur, business leader and author born on August 9, 1985, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
His family is of the Brahmin caste, and their ancestral home is in Palakkad, Kerala, India.
Ramaswamy graduated from Harvard College with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He later attended Yale Law School.
He is a candidate in the 2024 Republican Party presidential primaries; his campaign focuses on an “anti-woke” agenda and aims to recapture the American dream.
Ramaswamy is married to Apoorva Tewari, and they have two children.

Later, he earned a J.D. from Yale Law School.
During his senior year at Harvard, Ramaswamy co-founded StudentBusinesses.com, a technology startup company that connected entrepreneurs with professional resources via the internet, and he led the company to its acquisition in 2009.
After Harvard College, he worked for three years in a hedge fund.
I. 2014, he founded Roivant Sciences, a biopharmaceutical company, and led the largest biotech IPOs of 2015 and 2016.
