Kumar Dharmasena is a Sri Lankan cricket umpire and former international cricketer.
He was born on April 24, 1971, in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and is also known as Deshabandu Handunnettige Deepthi Priyantha Kumar Dharmasena.
Dharmasena is a member of the ICC Elite Panel Umpires.
He is the first and only person to represent an ICC Cricket World Cup final both as a player and an umpire, as he was a member of the Sri Lankan side that won the 1996 Cricket World Cup.
Dharmasena was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off-break bowler during his playing career.
He retired from playing in November 2006 and announced plans to become a competitive umpire.
