Five young men who disappeared in Mexico and were later caught on camera being brutalized by a Mexican drug gang were lured to a meeting with the gang with a false job offer.
The students and friends, who ranged in age from 19 to 22, were filmed duct-taping, beaten, stabbing and beheaded in an incredibly graphic video.
The deceased young men, who were looking for work as private security guards, encountered a contact in the city and were not spotted again until the video was released.
According to journalist Carlos Arrieta of El Universal, the men were tricked into a meeting with a group of criminals known as the “CJNG,” who wanted to recruit them into their ranks.
When the young men refused, they were killed, Arrieta reported.
Relatives of the deceased identified them as Roberto Olmeda, Diego Lara, Uriel Galvan, Jaime Martinez and Dante Cedillo.
