DS Gadhvi is a district collector in the Indian state of Gujarat.
He was suspended from his position on August 9, 2023, by the Gujarat government over “serious charges of misconduct, moral turpitude”.
The suspension was due to a viral video that showed him in an objectionable condition with a woman in his office.
Gadhvi is being investigated by a high-level committee.
As per the suspension order, he is entitled to receive a subsistence allowance at an amount equal to the leave salary which he would have received if he had been on leave on half pay.

DS Gadhvi viral video
A video clip of DS Gadhvi with a woman in an offensive situation was leaked online and went viral on social media platforms like Twitter and Reddit.
In this viral clip, the collector is having an intimate encounter with the woman in his office.
As soon as the video was lent in the media, it became viral sparking heat toward DS Gadhvi for his disgraceful act.
Once the video knocked on the doors of the higher authorities instant action was taken from Bhupendra Patel’s Gujarat govt, resulting in the instant suspension of DS Gadhvi.
The government has also constituted a committee to investigate the whole matter.
