A video of orca whales swimming off the coast of Florida Keys has gone viral.

The video shows a pod of orcas, also known as killer whales, swimming in the waters off Key Largo. The sighting is considered rare and has left many netizens stunned.

The video was captured by a group of fishermen in the Florida Keys. The orcas were spotted feasting on what appeared to be a shark.

The sighting is considered unusual, as orcas are not typically found in the waters off the coast of Florida.

The video has been widely shared on social media, with many people expressing their surprise and amazement at the sighting.

Marine biologists have also commented on the video, noting that while orcas are known to travel long distances, it is still unusual to see them in this part of the world.

The video has sparked interest in the scientific community, with researchers hoping to learn more about the orcas and their behavior in this region.

Orca whales

Orcas, also known as killer whales, are marine mammals that are warm-blooded, air-breathing and bear their young alive.

They are the largest members of the dolphin family and are one of the world’s most powerful predators.

Orcas are immediately recognizable by their distinctive black-and-white coloring. They have a black back and white underside.

They make a wide variety of communicative sounds, and each pod has distinctive noises that its members will recognize even at a distance.

They use echolocation to communicate and hunt, making sounds that travel underwater until they encounter objects, then bounce back, revealing their location, size and shape.

Orcas are at the top of the food chain and have very diverse diets, feasting on fish, seals and even other whales.

The whales can be found from the polar regions to the Equator, and they often frequent cold, coastal waters. They are well-adapted to any climate and can be found in numerous aquatic locations.

Additionally, orcas are social mammals and live in groups called pods. Pods can range from a few individuals to as many as 40 or more.

They are incredibly effective predators, commonly referred to as ‘wolves of the sea’.

There is only one species of orca, Orcinus orca. Orcas are the most widely distributed mammals on Earth after humans.

Although they are frequently dubbed killer whales, they are actually the largest member of the oceanic dolphin family.

Orcinus orca probably evolved around 11 million years ago and is one of the oceanic dolphin family’s 35 species.
