James Martin is a British chef and television presenter, best known for his television work with the BBC and ITV.
He was born on June 30, 1972, in Malton, North Riding of Yorkshire, England.
James started his catering training at Scarborough Technical College in 1988 and was ‘student of the year’ for three years running.
He has worked at several restaurants and built a successful career, but still has difficulties presenting sometimes because he has trouble following the autocue.
Martin presented the BBC cookery series Saturday Kitchen from 2006 until 2016, before leaving the BBC.
More recently, Martin has presented James Martin’s French Adventure, Saturday Morning with James Martin and James Martin’s American Adventure for ITV.
James is not married, but he is in a relationship with TV producer Louise Davies. He has no children.
Martin has also been involved in other activities, such as speaking on the global refugee crisis and giving a talk on friendship with Jesus.
He shares a passion for Michelin-star cooking and supercars with Michael Caines. However, Martin has been rapped by ITV for bullying and intimidating behavior.
James Martin leaked video and audio
James has been in the news recently due to leaked audio and video recordings of him berating his TV crew.
The recordings reveal a foul-mouthed tirade in which Martin uses abusive language towards his staff over a blocked drain.
The incident reportedly occurred in 2017, but the recordings were only recently leaked.
James unleashed his fury at staff on a tense Zoom call after the drain at his house was blocked while filming for James Martin’s Saturday Morning, which he claimed cost £30,000 worth of loss.
In the 10-minute rant, he swears 42 times.
However, the British chef has since issued an apology to the crew, acknowledging his behavior as unacceptable.
However, ITV, James’ current employer, has reportedly reprimanded him for bullying and intimidating behavior.
