Evan Harold Davis is an English journalist, presenter for the BBC, and former economist.
He was born on April 8, 1962, in Malvern, Worcestershire, England, and has presented Dragons’ Den since 2005 and PM since 2018.
Davis was the Economics Editor of BBC News from 2001 to 2008.
He also wrote a blog for the BBC website entitled Evanomics in which he “attempts to understand the real world, using the tool kit of economics”.
Davis lives in London with his partner Guillaume Baltz, a French landscape architect, and is the owner of a whippet named Mr. Whippy.
He is a keen motorcyclist and was seen riding a Yamaha R6 motorcycle in BBC Two’s The City Uncovered.
In addition to his work as a journalist and presenter, Davis has also acted in films and television shows.
Recently, he made headlines when he revealed that he learned on his wedding day that his father had taken his own life.

Davis’s father was seriously ill at the time of his death.
He had a close relationship with his father, Quintin Davis, who was a former BBC presenter and a lecturer at the University of Warwick.
