How Huduma Center appointments work
Huduma Centers are one-stop shops for government services in Kenya.
They were established in 2013 as part of the Kenyan government’s efforts to improve public service delivery to its citizens.
The centers offer a wide range of services, including registration of births and deaths, issuance of national identification cards, passport application, business registration, tax registration, and land registration services among others.
To access services at a Huduma Center, individuals can either walk in or make an appointment.
Making an appointment is highly recommended as it saves time and ensures that one gets attended to promptly. To make an appointment, one can either visit the Huduma Center’s website.
Once an appointment is made, the individual will receive a confirmation message that includes the date and time of their appointment.
On the appointment day, the individual is required to arrive at the center on time and present their appointment confirmation message to the security personnel at the entrance.
They will then be directed to the relevant service desk or office, where they will be served by a Huduma Center officer.
The officer will ask for the necessary documents and information to process the requested service.
Once the process is complete, the individual will be informed of the outcome and any relevant documents or certificates will be issued.
How to book an Huduma Center appointment
To book an appointment at a Huduma Center in Kenya, you can follow these steps;
- Visit the Huduma appointment site via https://appointment.hudumakenya.go.ke/.
- A page will be displayed where you will be required to log in with your National ID and password or. You will be required to register if you don’t have an account.
- For those registering an account for the first time, you will receive an activation code which will be sent as an SMS via your mobile number
- Activate your account by entering the activation code sent via text. Proceed to log in.
- Go to the Huduma Appointment booking page.
- Click on new appointment.
- Proceed to choose a Huduma Centre that is near you or one that you can easily access at your own convenience.
- Select the service that you would like to access.
- Select your preferred appointment date and time.
- Click on save and wait for your details to be processed.
- A text message confirming your appointment will be sent to the phone number you provided during registration.
- Ensure you save the message/ don’t delete the message as you will be required to produce the message on the day of the appointment.
