Betty Mutei Kyallo is an entrepreneur and an Award-winning Media Personality in Kenya who has worked with, Standard Group owned station KTN and Mediamax owned TV station K24.
She was born on March 15th, 1989 in Ongata Rongai estate, Kajiado County, Kenya. She is a second born in a family of four. Her other siblings are, Brian Kyallo, Mercy Kyallo and Gloria Kyallo.
Her Mother is called Julia Ngii and her father Wilfred Kyallo. Her parents divorced while she was still young. She lived with her mother and other siblings in Nairobi, Ongata Rongai where their father would occasionally visit them.
Kyallo attended Olerai Primary School and Uhuru gardens primary school for her primary education and later joined Kangundo Girls High school for her secondary education.
Upon completing her high school Education, Betty joined Daystar University, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication.
Recognitions
In 2020 Betty was crowned as the TV/Online Influencer of the Year at the Inaugural Africa Digital Influencer Awards (ADIA).
In the same year, the TV girl was named among 100 Most Influential Young Africans by Africa Youth Awards in collaboration with Avance Media.
In 2018, Ms Kyallo was voted as the Journalist of the Year by Kenyans on Twitter (K0T), defeating opposition from KTN news reporter Timothy Otieno, The Star Digital Editor Oliver Mathenge and Marvin Gakuyi.
In 2017, SOMA named Betty Kyallo as the Media Personality of the Year.

Kyallo opted to keep her dating life off social media after breaking up with lawyer Nick Ndeda in December 2021.
The media personality ultimately decided to confirm that she was dating again while speaking during a phone call interview with Ankali Ray on Milele FM.
Betty told Ankali that she was hiding her boyfriend like marijuana.
The mother of one at one point during the phone call interview told Ankali Ray that she wanted to stop talking and move closer to her boyfriend as they were having a meal together.
Elsewhere, she said she intends to keep her new relationship on the low until she gets married. The mother of one opened up about her mystery lover while speaking to Jalang’o during the relaunch of her beauty parlour ‘Flair By Betty’.
The media personality explained that she wants to do things differently in her new relationship, adding that she wants to date in secret until she gets married.
“I feel like this time I want to do it differently nataka
tu just date on the down low because naonaga hii kitu ya kuweka wasee vitu mingi online sometimes zina kacurse kidogo so I want to put uko chini mbaka sasa tuamue tuoane nini nini,” Kyallo said.
Betty said she no longer fancies ostentatious displays of love and material possessions and as such, she would not have a big wedding.
“I don’t think I will do those big weddings have come to realize that it’s all about two people. So these fanfare sijui mababy shower. I’m like just be happy me am gonna do just something nice,” she said.
Kyallo noted that it was unnecessary for her to introduce her ex-boyfriend on her social media platforms which she termed her personal space.
“In my last relationship, I put him out on social media and I am now like, I will never do that again. That is my space and we should stop overlapping each other when it comes to my social media space,” she said.
