Mungai Eve, real name Evelyn Wanjiku Mungai is a Kenyan digital content creator. She was born in Gachiku village in Murang’a County before moving to Nairobi to study.
After dropping out of journalism school and meeting her boyfriend Trevor during the 2020 lockdown, she started her YouTube channel.
She posted her first-ever YouTube video on October 11, 2020. Then she started interviews, covering the Machakos Gengetone Festival, which happened on Saturday, October 31, 2020.
After covering the whole festival, she went to the streets to ask people their opinions regarding trending issues.

According to reports online, Mungai Eve was born on April 6, 2000. She was 22 years old as of 2023.

In September 2021, the YouTuber announced that she has found a new house in Kileleshwa, Nairobi County.
She took her followers on a tour of the 2 bedroomed house that has a DSQ and an inbuilt cooker and oven.
Mungai Eve said she had gone through many houses that did not suit her preference before settling on the apartment.
“I wanted a house that has large sitting area, a dining area, a modern kitchen but I didn’t want an inbuilt cooker and microwave oven but it was very hard,” the content creator said.
The apartment also has a balcony overlooking Westlands, an alternative source of power for when Kenya Power experiences an outage and also a common swimming pool next to their entrance.
Also, the apartment also has an intercom door system which allows tenants to speak to a visitor at the gate before security lets them in. Further, lifts can be operated from inside the house for whenever a tenant is expecting a guest.
She explained that their schedules in Nairobi necessitated that they move closer to the city.

Mungai Eve has become a YouTube sensation following the rapid growth of her YouTube channel which has over 600,000 subscribers.
Her channel focuses on entertainment as well as projecting unscripted real-life experiences of youths from informal settlements.
Mungai Eve’s impact in Nairobi and the online community includes the discovery of Madocho wa Kanairo who is a self-styled sheng master.
Mungai Eve and Manzi Wa Kibera
Mungai Eve and Manzi Wa Kibera started beefing after the YouTuber and her boyfriend, Director Trevor, alleged that she was faking her poor lifestyle to trick Kenyans.
However, they later made peace and affirmed that there was no bad blood between them.
Manzi Wa Kibera said that she just wanted a platform where she would become known to the world and Evi was gracious to give her.
She said that they had no agreements beyond interviews and she was not to benefit in any way financially as she was creating a brand.
On the other hand, Mungai Eve said she was very disappointed and time had come for them to settle the differences in an interview.
Further, Manzi wa Kibera lamented the day she became popular. She noted that she can no longer do the ordinary stuff that she used to do like hawking in the streets.

Mungai Eve’s boyfriend is Director Trevor.
The two met in late 2019 in Thika, Kiambu County, Kenya. The duo had gone for a photo shoot in Thika town, where Trevor was the photographer.
But Trevor and Mungai Eve were both in relationships, which Mungai says were not working. So, they decided to walk out.
During the photo shoot, Mungai Eve asked Trevor to take photos of her. She then asked for his number to get her photos later. However, Eve has never received the images two years down the line.
But along the way, Trevor told Eve he wanted to date her. Initially, Eve told him off. However, after some time, she saw he was serious and focused on dating her, so she decided to take the risk and give love a chance.
The couple started dating two months after meeting.

When Director Trevor and Mungai Eve celebrated their second anniversary in January 2022, they took to the internet to show off their new car, a Toyota Crown Majesta.
Director Trevor also uploaded a photo of himself sitting on top of the car on his Instagram page. A Toyota Crown is not the only car the couple has bought. In October 2022, Director Trevor bought his father a Toyota Harrier.

In February 2023, bongo star Rajab Abdul Kahali alias Harmonize sparked reactions after showing love to Mungai Eve.
The two met on Saturday at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi when he arrived for his big show in Embu.
After the interview, Mungai Eve joined the Bongo star for his night concert in a club in Embu. When the presenter appeared on stage, Harmonize couldn’t help but admit how good she looked.
“You look so beautiful tonight,” said Harmonize.
The Kondegang boss also continued to show his love for Eve in his video which he posted on Instagram.
“QUEEN” Harmonize wrote on a video of Eve walking on the platform. Eve attached the video to Harmonize and Ibraah’s song “One-night stand”
The Bongo star also drew love emojis under another video of Eve that he posted on Sunday. Mungai Eve on her part also responded with a heart emoji which usually signifies love.
Netizens have had different opinions about the recent activities of the two while others have gone so far as to speculate that there is a relationship building between them.
